EdmTrain Artist of the Week: Brainrack

Pennsylvania based artist Brainrack is no stranger to the EDM community, producing masterful tracks and throwing down energy packed sets that elicit feral crowd reactions. With performances across the United States and appearances at festivals such as Lost Lands, Elements Music Festival, Big Dub, and many more, Brainrack has made his presence known as one of the next up and coming acts in the scene.

Most recently, Brainrack's track Thinking Bout You dropped on Excision's Lost Lands 2022 Compilation, and Excision has been playing the track out in almost every one of his sets this past year. Brainrack will also be embarking on his Brainwashed Tour, which will run from April to July and feature 12-15 stops across the US.

When asked why he produces and DJs, Brainrack told Edmtrain,

"Ever since I fell in love with screamo and hardcore music in high school, I have always felt a strong connection and passion for consuming and playing music. I have never felt or experienced anything else like that in my life. That feeling continued into dance music when I started listening to dubstep in 2010. It felt like this was the music I had been waiting to hear my whole life when I discovered artists like Excision, Rusko, and Caspa! A year or two later when I moved to Philly in 2012 I started DJing and knew that I wanted to perform and be an artist and truly felt that I could create this music. A year into DJing I got Abelton and began my journey in production and knew that this is what I wanted to do with my life. Over 10 years later it now feels like my career and vision for the Brainrack project and I couldn't be more thankful for where I am at and what lies ahead in the future!"
